ABOUT TEACHER KRING

She is Krishteen Gonzales Ortega but she prefers to be called “Kring”. She was born on the 24th of December 1998 and grew up in Iriga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Her parents are Jean G. Ortega, a public school teacher, and Ray B. Ortega, a college professor and registrar. She is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Special Education in Ateneo de Naga University. It wasn’t actually one of her choices but she chose to follow her parents and aunts. At first, she told them that she would immediately shift to Bachelor of Science in Accountancy once she finds it hard to like the program that she took but she eventually fell in love with special education. It’s like once you enter the program, there’s no way out. Back in high school, She would proudly tell her friends that she will become an accountant but now, she is prouder to say that she will become a special education teacher.

Just like other people, she is interested in traveling. She really loves long drives to places I've never been to because it makes her appreciate more the beauty of our country. It is also her kind of escape away from all the things which gives her stress. Being in other places make her know more about their cultures, what their specialties are and of course the kind of people in that certain place. There were times wherein people showed her hospitality while others were not accommodating. Some whom she can easily talk to but there are some whom she had a hard time communicating with due to language barrier. No matter what kind of experience she have had, at the end of the day she always end up feeling thankful and blessed for having the opportunity to explore such beautiful places. Once she gets a job and save money, she wants to achieve her goal which is to travel around the world with her family.

She loves going to waterfalls, pool, beaches and seas even though she is not a good swimmer.

Whenever she has a lot of free time (once in a blue moon only), she sometimes make doodles and calligraphies. It is one of her stress relievers when she is away from home. Every time she thinks of what to put in her doodles, it makes her forget about the problems she have for awhile. It’s like she's alone in a world full of different forms or art and colorful stuff.

Way back in high school, she started becoming interested in reading fictional books because of her friend who influenced her. She become addicted to reading and started collecting books because why not!!! Every book that she've read took her to different places and it also boosted her imagination. She prefers reading the hard copy of books rather than their PDF version. Every time she asks her parents to buy her a book, the first thing that she'd do after unwrapping it is to smell the pages of the book. It’s kind of addicting because smelling it gives her an unexplainable satisfaction. When she entered college, the number of books that she read started to decrease most especially now that she is in her fourth year already.

Arf! Arf! Arf! She has three dogs at home and she really treat them as a part of their family. She got her first dog when she was in grade six so she’s now 8 years old. She’s a big girl now but unfortunately, she never gave birth yet. She have always wanted to have a small breed dog and luckily, her wish was granted on her 18th birthday. She received a super duper cute puppy from a special someone a week before her birthday and after 8 months, she gave birth to 5 puppies. The 4 puppies got their new home while only 1 puppy was left to them. She can really say that dogs are man's best friend and she is lucky that she has three of them.
